SANDY BEACH TENTING &TRAILER PARK -

We are relatively new to RV'ing, we bought our first RV (37') last summer,  so we decided to spend a few days at a local RV park, as a way to get our 'feet wet' ..without going too far from home. We found this campsite (link below) just a wonderful place to go and plan on going for a month next summer. We had a great site near the beach, just over the sand dunes , where you were able to take dogs to have a swim, which suited us as we had just got a new lab puppy ..and he enjoyed his first swim in the ocean immensely! Our neighbours were friendly and there were lots of activies going on. Our family and friends were also able to visit for a small fee and spend the day at the beach with us. Overall we found this a fabulous place to stay and would reccomend it to anyone visiting New Brunswick.

KOA - OCEANSIDE -

We also spent a few days in Bar Harbor, Maine at the KOA Oceanside...and it was absolutely gorgeous! The staff were great and there was even a free shuttle leaving the campground every half hour into town, so a vehicle wasn't required which made life so easy for us. There was a great dog park for our puppy too. I would definately recommend this park to anyone visiting this part of the country.

NORTHERN LIGHTS CASINO -

Well, since I mentioned a great camp spot in Anacortes, I will mention another which is about five minutes from the before mentioned ( Pioneer Trails).

Exit 232 off Interstate 5, travel about 15 min to Northern Lights Casino, on the right.

You can stay up to seven days. For full hook up 25.00 for a pull through, or cheaper back in sites for 22.00.

We have a members card so we get a discount, depending on how many points we have. On one occasion it only cost us 6.00 a night to stay.

The RV park is very clean, very simple, on the ocean, so you can watch the boats come in and out, excellent crabing when open to others than native. The casino has an excellent seafood buffet every friday night. Rated four star in my book.

If you want to go into Anacortes and shop, its only about 10 min from the RV park. Oh by the way the r.v. campsite is right behind the casino, an easy walk, although if you have trouble walking, a little mini cart will come and pick you up.

This RV park is on the same Hwy 20, if you were to take a ferry to victoria, port angeles, .
37 foot RV across to victoria last summer and cost us 120.00 US. which is comparable to ferry service from Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo.

The ferry ride is three hours long and well worth it. Excellent for camera buffs. Winding around all the little islands all the way, not much open seas., it is called Juan Fuca straights.

PARADISE SEASIDE RESORT My favorite RV park is called “Paradise Mini Golf and RV” in Beautiful Parksville on Vancouver Island.  Joseph and Susan are great hosts and the park is beautiful with manicured gardens and located by one of the most amazing beaches on the Island.  Game rooms and mini golf along with bumper boats and ice cream and coffee shops makes it a great place for the whole family.  Many really great restaurants within walking distance, and lots to do and see.   Built to look like a Castle with a million dollar view, We have been going there for the past eighteen years and hope to continue for another thirty plus.

FOREST RETREAT RV PARK, New Caney, Texas

It is probably the nicest park in the area - all concrete pull-thru and back-in sites.

The park has private bath and shower rooms, clean swimming pool, recreation room with a big screen TV, planned activities, large public BBQ pits, shuffleboard and is very quiet as it is more than a mile among the tall pines off US Highway 59N.

Shopping, restaurants and malls are nearby, within 2-8 miles. Propane is available by truck at your site.

Grounds are pretty immaculate and the new park owners are updating and improving the eight year old park and facilities daily.
