Now for a bad experience we checked into a Western Horizon park located in Indio to find out about the park and its available memberships which they sell. We had a 3 day free pass so we could stay there free for 3 nights if we promised to take in a tour at the sales office which we had to wait 2 days for as the salesman was out of town.
Anyway it was 12:30PM and we went for our meeting! The first thing we got from the office was for us to sign a form .We said we would listen to what he had to say, but we were not signing our name on anything, for anything, unless we knew what it was about. Well the salesman came out and was extremely rude to us, with verbal insults and inuendos, but we held fast. No signiture on any paper unless we were going to buy. To make a long story shor,t if you can believe this, we were told to get out of the park. I said, if that’s what he wanted fine, we would go. We just couldn’t believe the rudeness of it all. So my wife packed the motorhome inside and I did the outside chores .As I was unhooking the water and sewer hose the park manager came to see me, very rude and demanded $90 for our 2 days. I said no way was I going to pay that. She rudely said we wasted her time! I replied on the contrary..you wasted our time by not telling us beforehand when we checked in what was expected of us. I said look at our Rig, it’s a 43 foot tag axle Dutch Star four slides with a brand new Harley ultra Classic in tow. Does that look like we are crooks and cant afford this. No I said ..you were rude to us and I wont pay this!! So she gave my wife and I - 1/2 hour to vacate or she would call the cops!! I am 60years old I don’t need this.
